We provide a centralized set of Career Frameworks to our customers: https://app.searchlight.ai/hirer/91/career-frameworks/public-library
Customers can also use our software to build their own Career Frameworks.
Our stance on Career Frameworks is that they must define a MECE (mutually exclusive, collectively exhaustive) list of competencies (aka skills, capabilities, success drivers).
Each career track within a job family (e.g. Recruiting IC) should have a Career Framework.
Recruiting Management has its own Career Framework.
Each column is a Level within that career track.
Each row of a Career Framework is a competency necessary for a person to perform that role, with different definitions of that competency for each level.
Here’s an example. Below is a screenshot of Searchlight’s Career Framework for IC Engineers. If you’re curious the job requirements for a L4 engineer at Searchlight, simply start reading the descriptions located in Column D, under L4.
The Scope of Influence requirements for a L4 engineer is located at Row 1, Column D.
