Before you start

  • Review Template: Review templates include the questions reviewers should respond to when completing their reviews for each review group. Searchlight has added standard reviews to your company library to use for reflections. You will find these when you navigate to Assessments > Reviewer Surveys OR Assessments > Reviewee Surveys

  • Verify your Org Chart: Searchlight will auto-assign reviewers based on the current org chart reporting structure. Therefore, the org chart and reporting relationships must be set in your ATS before completing the review cycle setup.

Create a review cycle

You can begin to create the review cycle.

  1. Navigate to Validate > Reflections

  2. Start your new review cycle by clicking + Create

  3. Name your review cycle.

  4. Select which survey you want to use for the reviewer and employee self-assessment (You can select custom surveys based on the reviewer to employee relationship)

5. Select the options for this survey including expiration date (Searchlight recommends 5 days as default)

6. If you have Career Frameworks (Optional), you can select which framework you want to use for this reflection. To learn a little more about Career Frameworks, please check out our Career Framework article

8. Finally, select who on the hiring team should receive notifications for this reflection
